Section 2 – Consent
How do you give your consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange delivery, or return a purchase, you consent to us collecting and using that information solely for that specific purpose.
If we ask for your personal information for another reason, such as marketing purposes, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent or give you the opportunity to decline.
How can you withdraw your consent?
After giving your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us at info@proper-men.com.
Section 3 – Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are legally required to do so or if you violate our Terms and Conditions.
Section 4 – Shopify
Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your information is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and general Shopify application. Shopify stores your information on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment provider to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card information. This information is encrypted in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is only retained for as long as necessary to complete your purchase. Once the transaction is completed, your transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment providers comply with PCI-DSS standards, which are managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are among the organizations involved.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure that credit card information is handled securely by our online store and our service providers. For more information, please refer to Shopify’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Section 5 – Klarna
To offer Klarna payment methods, we may share certain personal information with Klarna during checkout, including your contact and order details. This allows Klarna to determine whether you are eligible for the available payment methods and tailor them to your needs.
Your personal information will be processed in accordance with Klarna’s Privacy Policy.
To offer payment options from Klarna and Billpay, we may share contact and order information with Klarna and Billpay during checkout. Your personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the Privacy Policies of Klarna and Billpay.
Section 6 – Third-Party Service Providers
In general, third-party service providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your personal information to the extent necessary to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment providers and payment processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide to them for purchase-related transactions.
We recommend that you read the privacy policies of these providers so that you understand how your personal information will be processed.
Please note that some providers may be located in a different jurisdiction than you or us. If you complete a transaction through a third-party service provider, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which that provider or its facilities are located.
For example, if you are located in Canada and your payment is processed by a payment provider located in the United States, your personal information may be subject to United States law, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.
